Lisa Smith has been granted bail subject to strict conditions.
The former member of the Irish Defence Forces was charged earlier this month with membership of the jihadist terrorist group Isis.
The Mother of one has been in custody since she was arrested at Dublin Airport on December 1st.
The 37-year-old was previously refused bail by a District Court judge, but her application to the High Court was approved today under strict conditions.
They include that she lodges €500 with the court and further secures her bail with an independent surety of €5,000 with €1,000 to be lodged.
She must also stay off the internet, live at a specific address in the northeast and abide by a curfew.
Ms. Smith took the stand herself to plead for bail. She swore on the Koran and became visibly upset as she told Mr. Justice Robert Eagar that she just wanted to be with her daughter and would comply with all bail conditions.
She wasn't in a position to take up bail this afternoon, but the court will rubber-stamp her application once she lodges her own bond and finds someone the court approves of to put up the remainder of her bail.
