A man is due in court this morning in connection with a burglary on Dublin's Grafton Street.

Extensive damage was caused to the front of the Hugo Boss store last month.

It's believed a vehicle had been used to ram the front of the shop in the early hours of the 18th of January.

A number of items were also taken from the premises.

Gardai investigating the burglary arrested a man in his 40s yesterday.

He's since been charged and is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice later this morning.

In a statement, Gardaí said officers in Pearse Street have "arrested and charged a man in relation to a burglary that occurred at a retail premises on Grafton Street, Dublin 2 in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 18th January 2023."

"Extensive damage was caused to the front of the property during the course of the incident."
