A man in his 20's has died after being shot in Dublin this afternoon.
It’s understood the victim may have been caught up in the capital’s ongoing gangland feud.
At around 12:30 the young man was at the junction of Sheriff Street and Oriel Street in Dublin’s north inner city when he was shot a number of times.
The shooting happened in broad daylight just behind the International Financial Services centre and nearby a school and crèche.
The victim – who was in his 20s – was taken to the Mater hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Locals said the man is not from the area, and it’s thought he was not the intended target.
