Man Dies in Tipperary House Fire
A man has died in a house fire in County Tipperary.
Gardaí are investigating the incident that happened yesterday at a house in the Carrigeen Estate in Clonmel at around 6pm.
A man, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford for a post-mortem exam.
The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination, and investigations are ongoing.
In a statement, Gardaí said, "Gardaí are investigating a fatal house fire that occurred on Sunday evening, 23rd November 2025 in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a fire at a residence in Carrigeen at approximately 6:00pm.
A male, aged in his 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The scene is currently preserved for technical examination. Investigations are ongoing."
