A man in his 30s has been seriously injured in a shooting in Tallaght in Dublin this afternoon.
Gardai and emergency services are at the scene on the Blessington Road.
The scene in Lugmore, a rural area outside Tallaght where a man walking his dog was shot.
He is in a critical condition.

The incident happened at around 1 o'clock this afternoon.
Senior journalist at the Irish Independent Robin Schiller says the man has been taken to Tallaght Hospital:
"What I understand is that one man has suffered serious gunshot wounds.
"Also, a dog that was with the man suffered a gunshot wound.
"It happened at farmland off the Blessington Road, it is quite a big area of land.
"Gardaí currently have the scene sealed off.
"They are carrying out inquiries."
