US Prosecutors have offered a plea bargain deal to Molly and Tom Martens over the killing of Jason Corbett.
The Limerick father of two was beaten to death in America over five years ago.
39-year-old father of two Jason Corbett was beaten to death in the bedroom of his North Carolina home in August 2015.
His wife Molly Martens and her father Tom, a former FBI agent, were found guilty of second-degree murder in 2017.
They had served almost four years of a 20 to 25-year jail term when the Supreme Court quashed the convictions over evidential issues.
US prosecutors have now offered a plea bargain deal to Molly and Tom Martens meaning they won’t face a second trial.
