More Than €37,000 Raised For Teenage Victim Of Violent Attack

More than €37,000 has been raised for a 17 year-old girl that was attacked in Dublin.

The Go Fund Me page was set up after Alanna Quinn Idris was assaulted in Ballyfermot last Thursday night, suffering serious injuries to her face.

In an Instagram post, the teenage said there's an over 90 percent chance she'll lose vision in her eye.

She thanked those who sent positive messages writing "I’ve been absolutely showered with love and support by so many kind hearts."

A male friend she was with at the time was also assaulted and suffered knife injuries.

Alanna's mother Jamie said she was hopeful at the beginning, believing doctors were "only warning her of the worst, worst, worst case scenario".

Jamie says Alanna is devastated by the attack and is still coming to terms with the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
