Over half of people don't read their electricity and gas bills according to a survey published by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities today.
The research found that 39% of consumers in the electricity market and 40% in the gas market have never switched suppliers.
2 out of 10 gas customers indicated their household’s ability to pay bills has been negatively impacted by Covid-19.
However bill understanding has improved with 47% of customers now claiming to read at least some part of their bill an increase of 7 percent on 2020.
