The government's signed off on a final deal on water charges.
The deal will mean average bills of 240 euro per household, with larger free allowances for families with more children.
Each household will get a free allowance of 30,000 litres - roughly enough to flush a toilet around thirteen times a day, or to have 13 showers every 10 days.
But on top of that, there'll be an extra alloawnce of 38,000 litres for every individual child.
The scheme will involve no standing charge, but the regulator may still enforce a minimum charge for houses which aren't occupied every day.
The government's also investing another €200 million in the water system, and stepping up the rate of meters installed.
The finer detals for poorer households are still to be worked out, but it's expected that the disabled, carers and pensioners will receive a water allowance of €100 a year.
The Department of Health will also be consulted about allowances related to medical need.
