Gardai have confirmed that a 72 year old man has lost his fight for life following a crash in County Donegal nearly two weeks ago.
The two car collision happened on Tuesday the 30th August on the Lifford to Letterkenny Road just outside Lifford at approximately 3.15pm.
The 72 year old driver and sole occupant of one car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where he passed away last Friday.
The other car was driven by a man in his early 30's who was uninjured. Two other passengers - both children under seven years - were also unhurt.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 3pm and 3.15pm on Tuesday the 30th of August to contact them.
