People are waiting up to five hours online to book a shopping appointment for Penneys.
From Monday, the store opens by-appointment-only before a full reopening on May 17th.
The online portal to book a slot at the retailer opened at 10 o'clock this morning.
There is clearly a huge demand for the service, with waiting times in the virtual queue estimated to be as long as five hours!
Penneys website says it is "experiencing a high volume of traffic" and is asking shoppers to have patience.
It also advises that people's position in the queue does not guarantee a booking in their preferred store.
Penneys will have extended opening hours across every store to cope with demand and reduce queues.
