The woman whose story of forced adoption inspired an Oscar-nominated film has spoken of how an order of nuns refused to put her son in contact with her.
Philomena Lee says both she and her son Michael wanted to re-establish contact with each other - but the operators of the mother-and-baby home where they lived refused to help.
She's been speaking at a major adoption conference taking place at UCC, where a Government TD has said women like Philomena deserve a State apology.
