Average rents are rising at a faster rate in counties outside Dublin.
The latest figures from Daft.ie show rents rose by 1.8% between July and September, compared to the previous three months.
However, average rents in Dublin went up by 0.4% during the same time.
The average rent nationally is now €1,823 a month.

Listed rents in the capital were on average 4.3% higher between July and September, compared to the same period in 2022.

The property listings website, says the four main cities outside Dublin - Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford, saw increases of at least 5% in the third quarter of the year compared to the previous three months.
On November 1st, the website reported there were 1,800 homes available to rent nationwide, compared to fewer than 1,100 on the same date a year ago. Of the increase of almost 700 homes, Dublin accounted for over 600.
