Ireland's first same-sex marriages could be taking place in just over a month.
Laws to officially pave the way for civil marriage were introduced in the Dáil today, after the landmark referendum in May.
The Marriage Bill 2015 is largely technical and relatively short, and changes other Irish laws so that the sex of two people is no longer a determining factor when they apply for a marriage certificate.
Campaigners for marriage equality say it's a momentous day in Irish history, while opposition politicians say they will endeavour to help the laws get passed as quickly as possible.
Once the bill has been signed by President Michael D Higgins, it could be commenced within a fortnight - meaning marriages may be on the way in just a number of weeks.
