The first of the funerals is taking place today with more planned in the coming days.
Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys says she hopes it will provide some financial help:
"It's normally used to help households affected by floods and given the heartbreaking events which have taken place in Creeslough we are going to make the support available to households who have been directly impacted."
A dedicated Creeslough Community Support Fund has been launched to help the people of the Donegal village.
It's being managed by the Irish Red Cross in collaboration with An Post and Applegreen.
All donations will go to support those who have been bereaved, injured, made homeless or left without an income by Friday's explosion.
