It has been revealed that it only takes half an hour to fall in love with a pet.
A new study has found that pet-owners can be smitten in 30 minutes, but it can take up to six months to fall in love with a partner.
56% of people believe that the feeling of love for their pet is "true love."
Carolyn Menteith who is a behaviourist says:
"Statistically speaking, the relationship we have with our dogs is more likely to last longer than our marriages."
