Three Romanian Men Arrested In Donegal As Part Of Organised Crime Investigation

Gardai in Donegal have arrested three men as part of an investigation into organised crime. The arrests relate to suspected fraud.

The men detained by Gardai are aged 24, 25 and 31 and are all Romanian nationals.

They were arrested when Gardai raided a house in Letterkenny as part of an operation investigating the activities of a Romanian crime gang.

During the raid, a large number of items connected to fraud were discovered.

The items included suspected cloned credit cards, credit cards issued in false names, bank account details, false Romanian identity documents, and credit card machines

A number of suspected stolen Irish and UK passports were also found along with some driving licences.

2 cars that were also seized at the property are belived to have been bought on finance obtained through bank accounts that were opened in false names.

Much of the documentation relates to suspected fraud activity in Northern Ireland.

Gardai say the investigation, which includes enquiries with the PSNI and Europol is continuing
