Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has made an unfortunate slip of the tongue during a campaign stop in New York.

As the state prepares to chose who it wants to run for the White House for the Democrats and the Republicans - Mr Trump accidentally referred to the 9/11 terror attacks as 7-Eleven.

That's the name of a chain of convenience stores.
