Two people have died following yesterday's attack on board a Swiss train.

A 34-year-old woman, and the 27-year-old man who carried out the attack have died from their injuries.

The man attacked passengers with a knife and set a carriage on fire. 

Six people, including a six-year-old child were injured during the incident, near Salez in the east of the country.

Three remain in a critical condition. 

Swiss police say they believe the attack was not terror-related.
