What really makes a murderer? The hit TV series looks at one case but meet a man who knows the inside track on hundreds of cases: Irish criminologist and forensic psychologist John O'Keeffe.

Anton Savage spoke to John about his thoughts on Making a Murder as well as some high-profile murder cases in recent times: From Graham Dwyer to Anders Breivik. It is a fascinating interview. Listen to it here:

John, who is also the Chief Executive of AdVIC - advocates for the victims of homicide, and also associate editor of the Garda review.

He is hosting a Crime and Criminal Detection Evening this Friday, January 29th from 6.30pm - 9.30pm at City Colleges in Dublin.

John and some expert guest speakers will lift the lid on some of the most serious crimes, and the lives of the criminals who commit them. From the psychology of killers, to crime scene mapping, DNA and infamous Irish crime gangs and gangsters, this is an evening NOT to be missed by all those with a fascination for a subject that has gripped a nation.

Tickets are €20 and can be booked by email through info@citycolleges.ie or call 1850 252740.
