“Traditional Irish music has always been a big craze in my family. When I was about eight my granddad taught me this listening technique; he’d whistle into my ear and I’d play back what I’d heard.
‘Ships In Full Sail’, a jig, and ‘Sally Gardens’, a reel, were two of the first things I learned. I still get to take part in the odd session in Sean’s Bar and my local in Coosan Point.”
