After last week's dramatics in Tralee saw them equal Kerry's longstanding unbeaten record, the Dublin footballers have now officially made it their own, barely needing to hit the high gears in a 2-29 to 14 point win against Roscommon.

It's now 35 not out for Jim Gavin's men in league and championship, their last defeat coming in March of 2015 against the Kingdom, who set the previous unbeaten record in 1933.

Since that defeat to Kerry, Dublin have won two Leinster football titles, two All-Ireland titles, and two Allianz Leagues, with 29 wins and six draws in their 35 game stretch.

While Jim Gavin's men needed three successive draws to equal the record, they had little trouble making it their own tonight, with 21 points to spare on a Roscommon team who are now heading to Division 2.

The result looked assured after just a quarter of an hour when Paul Flynn found the back of the net, going on to hit a personal tally of 1-6.

Kevin McManamon scored their second goal with 12 minutes to play, but even before that strike Dublin were in cruise control. Paddy Andrews, Dean Rock and Bernard Brogan all hit three points apiece, with eight other players getting on the scoresheet.

In tonight's other Allianz League action, Laois gave their Division 3 survival hopes a real shot in the arm, beating Longford 1-13 to 13 points, while Armagh have gone top with a 1-12 to 13 points win against Antrim.

Limerick made it three wins in a row in Division 4, winning 14 points to 8 against Waterford at Fraher Field. That lifts Billy Lee's side up to third place in the table, but Carlow and Leitrim could both leapfrog them tomorrow.
