Bohs winger Kris Twardek joins Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok

Kris Twardek has left Bohemians for Polish Ekstraklasa side, Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Bohs say an undisclosed fee has been exchanged, believed to be €40,000.

The Canadian international winger joined the Dalymount Park club in November of 2019 following a spell at Sligo Rovers.

Twardek was one of Bohs' standout performers in the truncated 2020 season, playing in 12 of the 14 games that sees Keith Long's side second in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division table.

"I want to send a message to Bohs supporters: Best of luck for the rest of the season," Twardek said on Instagram.

"It was a privilege every time I pulled on the Bohs jersey. It’s a fantastic club.

"Thank you to my team-mates, thank you to the coaching staff, to everyone at the club and the supporters. I can’t say how much I have appreciated everything.”

Another man leaving Bohemians is winger Luke Wade-Slater.

The 22-year old has moved to Danske Bank Premiership side, Larne.

Having become a peripheral figure at Dalymount, Wade-Slater had been on trial with Larne, playing in a recent friendly with Derry City.

"I have spent time at the club during pre-season and I’m really glad to get the deal done to join permanently.

“I have spent time playing as full-back when I was younger and mainly as a winger when I was at Bohs. When I played against Derry in the recent friendly I played wide right, so I’m hopefully I can bring versatility.

“I know some of the lads from earlier in my career, lads like Graham Kelly and Ronan Hale and I was impressed when I came up here.

“I know the side finished last season really strongly and everyone is itching to get back to competitive football.

“Hopefully I can contribute and hit the ground running."
