Brendan Rodgers has decided against a swift return to the Premier League.
The former Liverpool and Swansea manager has pledged his long term future to Celtic by signing a new four year contract.
The 43 year old Ulsterman signed a 12 month rolling contract with the Glasgow club last May and is now set to remain at Parkhead until the summer of 2021.
The news comes less than a week after Celtic secured the Scottish Premiership title.
Rodgers is unbeaten in 37 domestic matches as the Bhoys pursue a possible treble in his debut campaign.
The room for improvement is in Europe.
This season Celtic failed to register a single win in a tough Champions League group.
They did draw with Manchester City both home and away, but suffered a 7-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
Rodgers says it was a very easy decision to extend his stay at the club.
He describes himself as “a Celtic supporter that wasn't good enough to play for team, but the next best thing is to manage it.”
“We have a built a connection at the football club and that will be important going forward."
