Davy Fitzgerald accepts two game touchline ban

Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald will watch their upcoming Leinster Hurling Championship match against Laois from the stands.

He's not going to contest a two-game suspension handed down following his dismissal in the Models' draw with Antrim last weekend.

Fitzgerald's ban begins with Wexford's Allianz Hurling League match against Dublin this Saturday.

“I’ve seen various managers go at it toe to toe, that’s the way it goes,” Fitzgerald said on TG4 after the game.

“I’ve nothing but respect for what Darren Gleeson has done and what he had done in Antrim, but if we’ve to say something to each other we’ll have a go.

"It isn’t my first time that’s happening and it probably won’t be my last."

Wexford are expected to appeal against the red card showed to their captain Matthew O'Hanlon in that draw at Corrigan Park.
