Ireland say goodbye to Burton upon Trent after naming their team to play Romania for their second match of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

The birthplace of Bovril and Marmite has been firmly in the focus of Irish rugby over the last week with Joe Schmidt's men in residence at English Football's impressive St Georges' National Training Facility.

The crowds were out in force for Ireland's official World Cup welcoming ceremony at the Town Hall on Monday. The local paper reported a big influx of green clad supporters filling hotels, bars and restaurants.

Robbie Henshaw has spent the week recovering from the hamstring injury that forced him out of the win over Canada. Jonny Sexton, Iain Henderson and Peter O'Mahony sat out training on Wednesday, but management reported a clean bill of health on Thursday. The players took advantage of Burton's close proximity to Alton Towers on their day off.

The local rugby club helped St George's groundskeepers get the pitch ready for the Irish team. The underage players assist in repairing the surface, and the senior team weren't too put out when Ireland ran over their allotted time in the indoor facility. The Irish flag was flying as they trained at their Peel Croft home in the centre of the town on Thursday night.

Ireland are now relocating to another English football asset Wembley Stadium.

They kick off their second Pool D match against Romania on Sunday at 4.45.
