I'm sure some Ireland fans woke up this morning wondering did they dream that the Boys in Green beat the world champions last night.
Thankfully it wasn't a dream and Ireland did in fact win 1-0 against Germany at the Aviva Stadium to guarantee at least a playoff for Euro 2016.
Shane Long came off the bench to score the most important goal of his career and I don't know about you but I will not get tired of watching this goal and it still gives me goosebumps:
Ireland are still third in Group D heading into the final game and regardless of what happens in Warsaw on Sunday, Martin O'Neill's men will be in a playoff but there is an even bigger prize on offer.
Should Ireland beat Poland then we'd qualify automatically for Euro 2016 and a high scoring draw (at least 2-2) would also be enough to secure a top two finish in the group.
Poland drew 2-2 with Scotland at Hampden Park with Robert Lewandowski on target twice for the Poles.
