John Muldoon’s remarkable Connacht career will reach another milestone this weekend.
The 34 year old will become the first man to play 300 games for the Province when he lines out against Leinster in the Pro 12 Interprovincial at a sold out Sportsground.
A promising hurler, who was part of the Galway team that won the All-Ireland Minor Championship in 2000, Muldoon made his first appearance for Connacht in 2004.
The back row forward captained the Province for the first time in 2008
He made the first of three international appearances against Canada the following summer.

Muldoon played in Connacht’s first Heineken Cup campaign in 2011.
He made his 200th Provincial appearance two years later, before breaking the 250 mark in 2015.
He was man of the match when Connacht beat Leinster to win the Pro 12 final at Murrayfield 11 months ago, and will now make it ‘300 not out’ against the same opposition in Galway this weekend.
