Laois versus Kilkenny moved to Nowlan Park, refixture details announced

This Sunday's Allianz Hurling League Division One game between Laois and Kilkenny will now be played at UMPC Nowlan Park.

Laois have forfeited home advantage due to concerns over the pitch surface at MW Hire O'Moore Park and asked the CCC to switch the match to Nowlan Park.

The GAA has confirmed that Laois has "decided to close their county grounds for a number of weeks for remedial works after Saturday's Allianz Football League Division 2 match with Kildare."

O'Moore boss Eddie Brennan admitted last weekend that their game against Carlow shouldn't have gone ahead at the Portlaoise stadium.

The GAA has also announced the details of the upcoming re-fixed National Hurling League games, which were lost to Storm Dennis earlier this month.

Reigning champions Limerick will face Waterford at the LIT Gaelic Grounds on Saturday, March 7th, where there will be a 7pm throw-in.

The meeting of Galway and Tipperary will have a 2pm start at Salthill on Sunday, March the 8th with Offaly and Antrim squaring off at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park in Division Two A.
