Anthony Martial scored from the penalty spot as Man United won 1-0 at Partizan Belgrade.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side hadn't won away from home since March.

But they put that particularly ignomious run to bed in a tight match in Serbia's capital.

Manchester United resurrected the back-five they had used against Liverpool on Sunday.

However, this time Phil Jones started alongside Harry Maguire and Marcos Rojo in place of Victor Lindelof.

Solskjaer also gave starts to academy graduates James Garner and Brandon Williams who had made a late substitute appearance against Liverpool four days earlier.

Ultimately, while the home side tested Man United, a penalty late in the first-half settled the game.

And it was Williams who won the spot-kick (pictured above) after Nemanja Miletic's foul.

Martial converted on 43 minutes to ultimately win the game and keep Manchester United top of Group L.

They are on seven points, two clear of AZ Alkmaar who thrashed FC Astana 6-0.

Celtic and Arsenal are also in action in the 8pm kick-offs against Lazio and Vitória Guimarães respectively, both at home.
