Ian Keatley's team mates are certain he can prove his doubters wrong in Sunday's European Champions Cup match against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road. After being the subject of 'ironic cheers' at Thomond Park at the weekend, Munster are backing their out half to bounce back against the same opposition. The 28 year old had a disappointing performance in Saturday's 31-19 defeat to the Tigers in Limerick. He sent a number of crucial kicks on goal wide and missed a tackle that allowed Leicester winger Vereniki Goneva score the opening try. Coach Anthony Foley thinks he can rise to the challenge and turn things around.

Hooker Mick Sherry says Keatley is working hard to make amends.

The shock of seeing one of their players jeered by their own fans has seen the Province issue a reminder of their tradition of respect and sporting behaviour. Conor Murray thinks the 'ironic cheers' risk the bond between the players and fans.
