O'Neill Names 39 Man Squad for Wales and Iceland Games

Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill named a 39 man squad for the World Cup qualifier against Wales at the Aviva Stadium on Friday March 24th and the friendly against Iceland on the 28th.

Brentford’s John Egan and Reading midfielder Liam Kelly both received their first call-ups to the senior squad. O’Neill will be without the injured Shane Duffy while Robbie Brady is suspended for the qualifier against Wales.

The Boys in Green are top of group D with three wins a draw from their opening four games. The qualifier against Wales is one of four home qualifiers for Ireland at the Aviva Stadium. Martin O’Neill is yet to taste defeat in a home qualifier since taking over at the end of 2013.

The game on Friday week is sold out but there will be a chance to win two tickets on Premier League Live this Saturday on Today FM.
