The Republic of Ireland will be back in action at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow night when they take on Iceland in an international friendly. Martin O'Neill confirmed today that he'll make plenty of changes from the 0-0 draw against Wales. Most of the talk since Friday's World Cup qualifier has been about the injury to Seamus Coleman. The Irish captain suffered a double break of his right leg following a tackle by Wales defender Neil Taylor in the second half and may not play again in 2017. FIFA are set to pay Coleman's basic salary while he recovers from the injury as part of their club protection programme.

O'Neill managed Henrik Larsson at Celtic after the Swede suffered a similar injury so the Ireland boss said that shows players can recover from such a bad injury.

O'Neill also revealed the impact Coleman's injury has had on the player himself and the squad over the past few days:

Martin O'Neill confirmed that Robbie Brady will captain the side against Iceland tomorrow night. The Burnley midfielder missed the Wales game due to suspension but he'll lead out his country for the first time at senior level against Iceland, something he's really looking forward to:

O'Neill also admitted that he'll be making a lot of changes so uncapped quartet Daryl Horgan, Andy Boyle, Conor Hourihane and John Egan could all make their debuts. John O’Shea, Jon Walters, Glenn Whelan and James McCarthy have all returned to their respective clubs following Friday's game.
