Paul Dunne is just one shot off the lead at the half way stage of the Qatar Masters. The 24 year old completed his second round on 7 under par. Dunne began the day three shots behind the first round leader Bradley Dredge. He shot 4 birdies and 2 bogies on the back nine to card a 2 under par second round of 70, and close to within a single shot of the Welshman who has been joined on the top of the leader board by eight other players. That group includes Jaco Van Zyl, Andy Sullivan and Thomas Aiken.
It was not such a good day for Graeme McDowell. The Ulsterman, who shot an impressive 66 yesterday, could only manage a 3 over par second round of 75. That drops him to 3 under par for the tournament, which is only good enough for a share of 45th. McDowell remains positive though.
Disappointing day with the driver. 2 fairways doesn't get it done round here. 5 back and all to play for. Looking forward to the weekend.
