Stoke v Everton

Everton beat Stoke 1-0 on the opening weekend of the season thanks to a Wayne Rooney header but a lot has changed since that game at Goodison Park. Both clubs have new managers but it’s Stoke who are under the most pressure. Paul Lambert’s side find themselves in the relegation zone with just eight games to play and the Potters have won just one of their seven league games since he took charge. We were at Goodison Park last week as Everton beat Brighton but the Toffees have their last six away from home in all competitions.

Ron Jones and Ray Houghton will be in the commentary box at the Bet 365 Stadium.

Alan Keane will be this week’s guest in the Boot Room as he looks back on a very successful spell with Sligo Rovers when he won a league title, three FAI Cups, one League Cup and the Setanta Sports Cup.

Sligo reached four cup finals in the space of five seasons and each of those finals finished in dramatic fashion. Sligo were beaten in injury time in the 2009 final against Sporting Fingal but they won both the 2010 and 2011 finals on penalties and Anthony Elding scored deep in injury time to win the 2013 decider.

Alan will also talk about how Paul Cook persuaded him to leave Australia to return home and join Sligo in 2009. He gives us an insight into what it was like to play for the current Wigan manager who got the better of Manchester City and Pep Guardiola in the FA Cup this season. Ian Baraclough was the manager when Sligo won the Premier Division title in 2012 so Alan explains what Baraclough did when he replaced Cook.

We’ll have reporters at all the Premier League grounds and we’ll also have live updates from Twickenham as Ireland go for the Grand Slam against England.

Premier League Live with Sky Sports from 2-6pm on Today FM.
