Newcastle will be expected to pick up three points against bottom side Huddersfield
Premier League Live returns to Today FM this weekend after last week's FA Cup weekend. We'll be at St. James' Park for the meeting of Newcastle and Huddersfield. Newcastle are just one point above the relegation zone following their 1-1 draw at Wolves a couple of weeks ago. The Magpies conceded an injury time equaliser at Molineux but Rafa Benitez must have been encouraged by their performances in recent weeks. Newcastle beat Manchester City less than a month ago and they have a good record against teams below them in the table. Record signing Miguel Almirón could make his first start for Newcastle after coming off the bench against Wolves. Huddersfield are 14 points from safety and are preparing for life in the Championship next season. The Terriers have won only two league games all season but surely they'll pick up a few more points before the end of the campaign.
Ian Beach will be joined by former Republic of Ireland international Stephen Elliot in the commentary box at St. James' Park. We'll be reflecting on the Champions League action from earlier in the week with Mark Lawrenson and we'll look ahead to Sunday's meeting of Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford. Manchester City and Chelsea go head to head at Wembley in the League Cup final so we'll preview that game too and Tottenham have a chance to move within two points of the top two when they face Burnley at Turf Moor tomorrow.
Republic of Ireland international Stephanie Roche will be this week's guest in the Boot Room. Stephanie joined Italian club Florentia earlier this season so we'll hear how she's settled into life in Italy and how the former Peamount United striker had to deal with a few injury setbacks.
Premier League Live with Sky Sports from 2-6pm on Today FM.
