Shortlist unveiled for 'Three' FAI Awards

The FAI has revealed the nominees for the 2019 'Three' FAI International Awards ceremony which was postponed earlier this year and will not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

David McGoldrick, Enda Stevens and Glenn Whelan are up for the Senior Men's International Player of the Year while Alan Browne, Josh Cullen and Callum Robinson are nominated for the Young International Player of the Year award.

Irish captain Katie McCabe is on the shortlist for the Senior Women's International Player of the Year award with Denise O’Sullivan and Louise Quinn.

Shamrock Rovers midfielder Jack Byrne is in the running for the SSE Airtricity League Player of the Year along with Dundalk pair Sean Gannon and Chris Shields.

The 'Hall of Fame' and 'Special Merit' recipients will be announced next week along with the winners of each category.
