Simone Biles withdraws from two more finals at the Olympics

Four-time Olympic gymnastics champion Simone Biles has pulled out of two more finals at the Tokyo Olympics.

Medical staff have advised the 24 year-old not to take part in the vault and uneven bars.

She also pulled out of the women's team final on Tuesday and Thursday's individual all-around event, saying she had to focus on her mental health.

“Today, after further consultation with medical staff, Simone Biles has decided to withdraw from the event finals for vault and the uneven bars," US Gymnastics announced in a statement.

“She will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether to compete in the finals for floor exercise and balance beam.

“We remain in awe of Simone, who continues to handle this situation with courage and grace, and all of the athletes who have stepped up during these unexpected circumstances.”

The American is yet to decide if she'll compete in her other two finals and she revealed on Friday that she's suffering from "twisting".

“It has never transferred to bars and beam for me," Biles wrote on social media. "This time it’s literally in every event which sucks. You literally cannot tell up from down. It’s the craziest feeling ever, not having an inch of control over your body.”
