The Paul McLoone Show is the type of music radio show where every night you can be guaranteed to hear a new musical nugget. We are only 29 days in to 2019 and so far the new releases are pretty special.

Follow this spotify playlist which will be updated weekly for all the tunes Paul is selecting for the show. See below for some of our favourites.

We are particularly loving Fat White Family who have just been announced for The Button Factory in Dublin on May 8th. We had them perform at a now legendary live show broadcast from The Workmans Club a few years ago.

They have changed label recently to Domino, the home of Arctic Monkeys. This change in label and a change in scenery from London to Sheffield appears to have elevated their sound. 'FEET' is the first single from forthcoming album 'Serfs Up' which is out on April 19th.

Paul has tickets to be won to see them on the show every night this week.

Yeah Yeah Yeah's front woman Karen O has joined forces with Danger Mouse for what we reckon is going to be a remarkable album. Two tracks have been released so far, 'Lux Prima' and 'Woman'. The LP has already been released in independent record stores as a limited edition white vinyl. (We better find one for Paul Mcloone)

'Woman' is an intense and somewhat volatile record that has all the sounds associated with a Danger Mouse production of a Black Keys album, however it is taken up more than a notch with Karen's vocals and empowering lyrics.  The Album 'Lux Prima' is out on 15th March, we cannot wait.

Just Mustard are an Irish band picking up a lot of attention lately, the kind of buzz surrounding them is deserving and anyone who has seen them live will agree tenfold. Nominated in Choice Music Prize for their album 'Wednesday', this track 'Curtains' is making the show playlist on the regular. They play their hometown on Feb 8th at The Spirit Store, Dundalk.

The Paul McLoone Show Monday to Thursday 9 - Midnight.
