Bank of Ireland’s new 3-part Invested Webinar series

Teaching you all you need to know about investing some of your savings.

Have you built up some savings since the start of the pandemic in 2020? Recent research published by the Central Bank suggests that Irish households saved more than €11 billion since the start of the pandemic.

While you might not have billions in your own account, investing some of your savings is the only realistic option to beat the rising cost of living when deposit interest rates remain low. Interested but don’t know where to start? Don’t worry, Bank of Ireland has you covered with its new investment education webinar series – Invested.

Invested in growing your savings?

Invested is a 3-part webinar series that will take you on a journey from understanding your money, to looking at your goals, and getting a plan to help you achieve the best outcome for you and your family.

The first webinar of the series on April 27th – The Why And How Of Investing: A Beginner’s Journey – looked at the fundamental challenges of how to get your money growing when the cost of living is rising but interest rates remain low. Hosts Bernard Walsh, Head of Pensions and Investments at Bank of Ireland and Yvonne Donnellan, Senior Financial Advisor at Bank of Ireland discussed how in today’s world of low interest rates, your money simply isn’t earning enough in your savings account to beat inflation and how you can buck that trend.

In the second webinar on May 25th,  Eyes on the Prize – The Secrets of Successful Investing - hosts Bernard Walsh, Head of Pensions and Investments at Bank of Ireland and Greg Davies, Head of Behavioural Finance, Oxford Risk, will discuss the secrets of successful investing and give you practical tips to debunk your fears and misconceptions about investing.

The final webinar of the series on June 29th will see Bernard Walsh, Head of Pensions and Investments, Bank of Ireland and Eoin Fahy, Head of Responsible Investing, KBI Global investments, work through the smart decisions that investors should make when investments markets are reacting to global political crisis, high market volatility and uncertainty.

So if you want to invest some of your money and give it the chance to grow over time, rather than resting it in your deposit account, register now for free to learn more at: bankofireland.com/invested
