No room for Ben Healy as Munster name team to take on Racing

There's no place for Ben Healy in Johann Van Graan's Munster 23 ahead of their crucial European Champions Cup meeting with Racing 92 on Sunday.

There was an expectation that 20-year-old Healy may have been called upon given Munster's injury-crisis at out-half, with Joey Carbury and Tyler Bleyendaal out injured.

JJ Hanrahan has recovered sufficiently from a hamstring problem to take his place at out-half, but there's no place either amongst the replacements for Healy.

Munster's line-up shows a total of eight changes to the side that played Ulster last weekend.

Peter O'Mahony captains the team, with hooker Niall Scannell set to make his 100th appearance for the province.

There are starts for Andrew Conway and Keith Earls on either wing, while Conor Murray partners Hanrahan in the half-backs.

Both Craig Casey and Shane Daly could be poised to make their European debuts from the replacements bench.

Munster must win in Paris to keep their hopes alive of qualifying for the knockout stages.

They are set to train this afternoon in Limerick, before departing for the French capital tomorrow.

Sunday's encounter has a 3.15pm kick-off time.

Munster: Mike Haley; Andrew Conway, Chris Farrell, Rory Scannell, Keith Earls; JJ Hanrahan, Conor Murray; Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, Stephen Archer; Jean Kleyn, Billy Holland; Peter O’Mahony (C), Jack O’Donoghue, CJ Stander.

Replacements: Kevin O’Byrne, Jeremy Loughman, John Ryan, Arno Botha, Chris Cloete, Craig Casey, Dan Goggin, Shane Daly.
