The second single, Selfish Love, off her highly anticipated second album Glasshouse is Jessie Ware's brilliant bash at bossa nova. Cashmere Cat and Benny Blanco produced the smouldery slow samba track, that's echoing a bit of Grace Jones.
She's in the middle of performing a set of small gigs in the Assembly Hall in Islington north London with one of them on her daughter's first birthday. She told the Evening Standard “I’m scared I’m gonna cry, or just talk on stage about all the gory birth details that no one needs to hear. It will feel quite poignant.”
Check out the video below that has all the essence of an old Italian love affair movie. Jessie Ware worked with director Tom Beard who has worked with FKA Twigs, Klaxons and Florence and the Machine.
Lost In Music with Louise Duffy, weeknights from 7pm.
