Tonight and all this week, Paul McLoone will be playing tracks from Spiritualized’s third studio album.
It was released in June 1997 to extraordinary critical acclaim.
First in NME's 'Album Of The Year' poll, the album fuses gospel, rock, jazz and classical string music.
The album is perceived as songwriter Jason Pierce's ode to heartbreak, after his split with Kate Radley who plays keyboard and sings on the album.
It closes with the glorious track "Cop Shoot Cop" with the infamous opening line 'There's a hole in my arm where all the money goes'. Take 17 minutes out of your day to listen to it.
Tune in from Monday to Thursday, 9pm til midnight to hear more from this classic album.
