Guinness Cork Jazz Festival in Cork City, Friday 27th to Monday 30th October
The Cork Jazz Festival toots into town this weekend and its certainly bringing the brass with headliners like Honor Heffernan, Ronnie Scott's All-Stars, Miles Davis' 'Kind Of Blue' with Gary Crosby's Nu Troop and Dee Dee Bridgewater. And Irish acts Imelda May and Booka Brass Band are among the many playing.

As part of Bram Stoker Festival, our own Al Porter's comedy show will be based on Bram Stoker’s most famous character, Dracula, with his camp take on the King of Blood.
Turning Vampire Mixtape Halloween Party in Vicar Street, Sunday 29th October
Also as part of Bram Stoker Festival, the Turning Vampire Mixtape party promises an evening of scary songs and collaborations bringing together some of Ireland’s most successful and talented musicians for a serious night of music, giggles and ghouls – this is your Halloween Party with a devilish twist, with scary songs from Thriller to Ghostbusters and everything in between!
The line-up, so far, includes Lisa Hannigan, Saoirse Casey, Niamh Farrell (Ham Sandwich), Adam Matthews, Saint Sister, Kier (Delorentos) and Wyvern Lingo all playing alongside the Turning Pirate house band – The Flux Capacitors.
