Newcastle and Crystal Palace could do with one more win to secure their Premier League status

There's a mix of Premier League and FA Cup action this weekend. League leaders Manchester City play Brighton at Wembley on Saturday in the first of this weekend's cup semi finals which means Liverpool have a chance to reclaim top spot in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp's side are away Southampton on Friday night, knowing a win would move them two points above City. We'll have reaction from St. Mary's on Premier League Live with Sky Sports which gets underway at 2.00 on Today FM. Our commentary game will come from St. James' Park where Newcastle face Crystal Palace.

Newcastle and Palace are almost guaranteed top-flight football next season but both clubs could do with just one more win to make sure. Newcastle have won five home games in a row to ease concerns of a relegation scrap while Palace are without a win in their last eight visits to St. James' Park. However Roy Hogdson's side have produced some of their best performances away from home this season, including a 3-2 win at Manchester City.

Ian Beach and Stephen Elliot will be in the commentary box at St. James' Park while Mark Lawrenson will join us in the first hour of the show to look back on Liverpool's trip to Southampton and for a look ahead to the rest of the weekend's action. Former Ipswich and Bohemians goalkeeper Shane Supple will be this week's guest in the Boot Room. The 31 year old was forced to retire from the game at the end of last season due to a persistent hip injury. Shane will be looking back on his time at Ipswich where he was part of the team that won the FA Youth Cup in 2005. He fell out of love with the game and came home to play GAA with St. Brigids before signing with Bohemians in 2016.

Premier League Live with Sky Sports on Today FM from 2-6pm.
