Christmas is a great time for an oul boogey. You just get more opportunity to do it, don't you? This Christmas, I reckon you'll be tripping the light fantastic (at least once) to the sound of the following three songs. Feel free to add your suggestions, any excuse to dance badly.

Uptown Funk – Bruno Mars ft Mark Ronson

This song is just DEADLY. It’s definitely my favourite song this year. I’m actually actively trying not to listen to it so I don’t get sick of it. The opening bars alone are enough to get you shaking what your Mamma gave you. You ARE too hot, hot damn. Doh, do do do doh doh, do do.  ‘DON’T BELIEVE ME, JUST WATCH!’ I can guarantee that no matter where you are this Christmas season, be it at the Christmas party, in the car, in the local or in the kitchen, you’ll dance as though you auditioning for a hip hop group. And, why not?! DO IT!

All About The Bass – Meghan Trainor

Yes, this song has been going around for a while and like me, you might be a bit sick of it. That won’t stop you dancing to it at your Christmas party though will it? No. When you hear the opening bars of ‘All About That Bass’ at 1am, you’ll dance like it’s the best thing you’ve ever heard. From what I can gather, when Meghan is singing about ‘bass’, she really means ‘arse’. And do you know what the good thing about arses is? Everyone has one. So, everyone can shake their arse to this song and feel great about it. Brilliant. More arse shaking please. No treble.

These Days – Take That

Look, it’s no longer taboo to like Take That. The lads have established themselves as proper legends over the past twenty years, they write really good pop songs and they seem sound to top it all off. They’ve gone from a 5 piece, to a 4 piece, back to a 5 piece and most recently, a 3 piece. Each time, I wonder if they’ll be able to pull it off and somehow, they always manage it. As a long-time Take Thatter, I found it really hard to believe that they’d work as a trio without Robbie and Jason. But, that showed me! They’ve come back with an absolute CRACKER of a song; ‘These Days’ and I am absolutely in love with them all over again. You will not be able to resist dancing to it over this festive period. TAKE THAT FOREVER.
