Today, Anton Savage had Mammy Moone on the show a.k.a IFTA winner and comedian Deirdre O'Kane. And she gave us some good news!
Yes, you heard it here first; our favourite Irish sitcom will be jumping to the big screen and we won't have that long to wait!
Ahead of her appearance at the Sky Cat Laughs Festival in Kilkenny this weekend, where The Anton Savage Show will broadcast live from on Friday 29 May, the comedian casually let it slip:
“I say that’ll happen, the boys really want to do it and I think Sky are happy to pay for it so I say next year that will probably rock into production.” (Hurrah Sky!)
And it seems the US are enjoying watching the Irish as O Kane admits: “At this stage there are more viewers of Moone Boy in the US than there is in the UK.”
...And Mammies know all.
