So, Summer has officially ended but we'll always have the memories. What a Summer it was! There was lots of good music, great gigs, deadly festivals and even a bit of sunshine thrown in for good measure. Let's have a little walk down memory lane and remind ourselves just how good we had it in the Summer of 2014.

Today FM kicked off the Summer at The Sky Cat Laughs Comedy Festival. Ray and the gang headed off to Kilkenny for the funniest show of the year. The show came live from Langtons, with an audience of 50 lucky listeners and were joined by a whole host of comedians who had everyone in fits of laughter.

The weather was surprisingly good this Summer. We even had a HEATWAVE! It  felt too good to be true but it actually hung around for a while which was great. We ate ice creams, we ate al fresco (how posh) and we got a a spot of sunbathing done.

One listener even decided to shut up shop and enjoy the fine weather on the orders of Ray D'Arcy. Well, if Ray says so....

The Paul McLoone Show came live from Body and Soul festival and landed interviews with John Grant and Paul Numan.

Music wise, in June, it was all about Mr Probz and the absolutely infectious 'Waves'.

Let's face it, we spent June and July talking about Garth Brooks and the 'Will He, Won't He' saga. In the end, he didn't come and we all survived it.

Here in Today FM, we don't like to stay still for long so we got our deckchairs out and headed to the City Spectacular festival in Dublin & Cork in July. There was so much to see and do, it was great craic. Martin and Alison came live from the Today FM 'Irish Summer' area also known as the 'pan out' area. Seriously, it was brilliant.

Today FM is like a magnet for A list celebrities. So, naturally we didn't bat an eyelid when ED SHEERAN decided to come visit. Yes, the international superstar Ed Sheeran. He popped into The Louise Duffy Show and performed a few songs from his brand new album. What a lovely man he is, so down to earth. If you didn't already love him, you will after listening to this.

Next, we were off to Electric Picnic and what a weekend we had. Our area; The Today FM Sound Garden was hopping for the entire weekend. You lot certainly know how to party. You came, you saw, you danced.

Did you head along to the picnic? Who was your favourite act? Can you pick yourself out of the video? Have a goo.

We needed to work off all the boldness of the summer so we got our lyra pants on (what an image) and hit the road and joined Ray for 5k. We travelled to Letterkenny, Athlone, Cork, Limerick and Dublin and you came in your droves.

What a Summer.....what was your favourite memory?
