Seabiscuit (2003):

The film is based on the story of the undersized Depression-era racehorse ‘Seabiscuit’ whose victories lifted not only the spirits of the team behind it but also those of their nation.

The Horse Whisperer (1998):

The mother of a severely traumatized daughter enlists the aid of a unique horse trainer to help the girl's equally injured horse. The film stars Robert Redford, Kristen Scott Thomas, Scarlett Johansson and Sam Neill.

Black Beauty (1971)

Black Beauty, a horse, tells the story of his life in his own words. It is a story of how he was treated with kindness and love when he was young and how his treatment changed at the hands of different owners. The film's cast includes Walter Slezak, Mark Lester, Uschi Glas, Patrick Mower and John Nettleton.

War Horse (2011):

Set against the backdrop the First World War, the film tells the story of the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert. Young Albert enlists to serve in the war after his beloved horse is sold to the cavalry. Albert's journey takes him out of England and to the front lines as the war rages on. The film's cast includes Jeremy Irvine, Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict and Cumberbatch.

The Black Stallion (1979):

The heart-breaking story of a young boy, Alec Ramsey, and a wild Arabian stallion who develop a friendship after they are the only survivors of a shipwreck. The movie stars Kelly Reno, Mickey Rooney, Teri Garr, Hoyt Axton, and the Arabian horse Cass Ole.
