A man in his late teens has died after being hit by a bus in Co Longford yesterday.
The collision, involving a bus and a pedestrian happened on the Convent Road in Longford Town at around a quarter past 6 yesterday evening.
The pedestrian, a man in his late teens, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at Mullingar Regional Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward - particularly those with dash-cam footage.
It's also emerged the had lost his older brother in a separate road tragedy just over a year ago.
